Mini news from San Carlos Sportfishing.
1) New Boats
As anounced I made a major
remodalation on my boats , adding Bigger Engines and new T
top for a better confort ( Rain and sun )..
The good new is than these
changes IN NO WAY afect Fishing, we still can cast the same...( I
was afraid theseT-Top may Disturb )
2) ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL SAN CARLOS FISHING TOURNAMENT
CONGRATULATION CHAMPION...
Even with two boat registered we could
not win the 2002 edition of the Tarpon Tournament...
The winner has been one of our
friend Mr PASQUALINI from Italy, every year he comes with some friend
from Roma and Miami to participate in the tournament
he won the 2002 edition with a 125 lb Tarpon caught on 20
lb line 1 hour 30 mn fight . It is really a great pleasure for
me to send Mr Pasqualini and his team my most sincere
CONGRATULATIONS..
.
Even if we did not winn ( Sorry
Thierry, Etienne, John , and Kendall ... we will do better next
year..) we really had fun participating and some specific fun and
great moment with The Pasqualini team...( Thanks for the Gran Reserve
Rhum....)
3) S.C.S New web site
I am still working on it ( I never
could figure it was going to be so much work ) , it should be ready by the
end of this month, I will make a special anouncement via E mail once it
will be ready ans on line , it will be a very big site located at
nicaraguafishing.com
4) FISHING REPORTS
In the last week and months we did
received several groups , 10 new Guests and also some
olders coming back: Paul (Trip # 7 with us ), Thierry from
France ( trip #2) , Thomas Garrison from texas ( trip #2 ) , Oran
Burnett from texas trip # 2 Fishing has been as usual , meaning
Tarpon between 60lb and 200lb, an average of 8 hit per day, 2 tarpon
released to the boat per day .. and also good size snook and in
the last weeks big Gar.
Special mention for Thierry , 6
Tarpon released, and for John and Kendall who had with us their
First Tarpons...
Rainbow bass , Mojarra fishing has
been regular in the Solentiname Archipelago.
In the coming weeks and months (
Till the end of February ) Fishing is expected to be the same...in
our usual area of the Upper Rio San Juan and Solentiname Archipelago
5) OUR GUEST HOUSE
We are buying a land
close to San Carlos for Our Future San Carlos Sportfishing , Guest House, We
will offer a very nice location , and to start 3 very
confortable and large Rooms for our guests,....and a bit of French
Cuisine...
This project should be
completed in 2003. Meanwhile we wil still use HOTEL Leykos and
Dona Coco in San Carlos...
The NEW GUEST HOUSE will
become our base in San Carlos , but we wil still go on exploring in
each of our trip, going to Solentiname, El Castillo and spending night
there. We will go on with the Formula than made my fishing operation
sucessfull, " NO FIX LODGE, WE MOVE WHERE THE FISH ARE IN THE WEEK
YOU ARE THERE"
6 ) NEW LODGE DOWN ON SAN
JUAN RIVER.
From the end of November
we will be using a new lodge in Saballo located in front of the Rapids...(
ONE OF OUR FAVORITE SPOT ) Guests will almost be able to fish for Tarpon
from the Veranda of Lodge ( Only half Kidding ) . The place is
fantastically located, And will be very confortable. I am glad to
anounce than I made a special agreement with owners from Nicaragua
and Germany ...
7 ) SPECIAL TRIP PROJECT
MY BOOKING FOR THE COMING MONTHS
AND BEGINNING OF NEXT YEAR IS ALMOST FULL , MEANWHILE I am going to
organise in October 2002
Two Additional
Special fishing Expeditions...
1) All the way
down San juan River to San Juan Del Norte on the Caribean Cost, ( The Gold
Rush, Mark twain , Vanderbilt Road ) using my boats, fishing al the
way will be for Tarpon and Big snook...
2) To
Archipelagon de las Perlas ( Pearl Lagoon ) on the Caribean cost, using a
lighter boat, we wil go from Granada in car boat on a trailer , then
from El rama we will use the boat going to Bluefields...then the
Lagon and small Islands...
For these two SPECIAL trip I have
room in each for two Anglers...we will explore the two areas , from
Fishing and Touristical point of view,
