THE ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL TARPON SNOOK TOURNAMENT IS ALL OF A TRADITION IN THE LITTLE TOWN OF SAN CARLOS LOCATED ON THE BANKS OF GREAT LAKE NICARAGUA... WHERE SAN JUAN RIVER START...
We are at 120 miles from sea and we catch World record size saltwater fish as this tarpon caught by one of my guide Mr. Eliesser Jarquin...fish was 235lb...
More than a hundred angler..., 30 boats coming from Costa Rica, Managua, Granada, Rivas, compete each year on the 14th and 15th of September
Fishing is on the immensity of the great Nicaragua Lake, and down San Juan River till Saballo /El Castillo 40 miles away ...a lot of room for everybody....
Tournament is also the occasion of annual festivity for the Town of San Carlos all town participate every body is up at 5 am... a band wakes up all town at 4,30 am
