TARPÒN TOURNAMENT  IS ALL OF A  TRADITION IN THE LITTLE BORDER TOWN  OF SAN CARLOS NICARAGUA / COSTA RICA LOCATED ON THE BANKS OF RIO SAN JUAN AND GREAT NICARAGUA LAKE... PRECISELY WHERE  SAN JUAN RIVER 120 MILES LONG TO CARIBEAN SEA START...  Around a hundred angler come each year, 30  boats  from Costa Rica, Managua, Granada, Rivas,   compete on the 14th and 15th of September  Fishing  is  on the immensity of  great Nicaragua Lake, and down San Juan River till Saballo /El Castillo 45 miles away ...    Plenty  of room to fish        All town is involve...   At 4.30 am  a band  goes in  SAN CARLOS streets..   Everybody has to get up....  Tournament  is  also the occasion of annual festivity for the Town of San Carlos.. A fll week of fun all town participate... On tournament days  every body is on water at 5 am... a band wakes up all town at 4,30 am       A part from fishing..
